A wall mirror, tabletop, shelf and shower panel can share similar dimensions but require very different glass, edgework and mounting. The estimator starts with the intended use, then collects shape, thickness, finish, fabrication and installation details.
Templates or site measurements may be required for walls that are out of square, curved shapes, switch cut-outs, plumbing notches or hardware holes. Preliminary homeowner measurements are useful for planning but not for fabrication.



Do not worry if you do not know the technical glass or hardware name. The estimator uses the visible condition first, then asks for the details that matter.
