Double-hung windows with two movable sashes
A double-hung window allows both the upper and lower sash to move vertically. That creates flexible top, bottom or combined ventilation while keeping the exterior face of the window free from an outward-swinging sash.
Not every double-hung system has the same tilt, balance or screen design, so those details should be confirmed rather than assumed.
